TIME, it’s a funny thing. 2 weeks, it feels like yesterday and yet it feels like a lifeTIME ago! It has been over a week since I updated this blog and it’s TIME. This TIME of year is about resurrection and new life! It is a great TIME for revival!!

March 24th was a much anticipated day. Dezi’s 1/2 birthday….15.5. Permit day!!! Instead, on that very day we were told that Dezi had days to weeks to live. She declined so fast that I didn’t expect her to make it through the weekend.

Dezirae had declined to the point of not being able to hold her head up, blow her nose and she rarely had the energy to speak. During this time the only thing that helped was someone massaging Dezi almost around the clock. So for over a week our “people” were here all the time. At the drop of a hat we had anything we needed.

Love surrounded her(and us), prayers continuously flowed…..PEACE was ever present. Finishing touches were made to her casket, details arranged for her funeral, “see ya laters” said! and plenty of tears shed. Death and Heaven seemed like a comforting blanket on a cold day! Exhaustion was at an unimaginable level. Others stepped in to fight for us!

March 30th, Dezirae’s face was swollen and her lips had been blue tinted for days. The 31st her lips were pink and facial swelling was gone. We were also blessed by the prayer team coming that evening. God was present in such a real way! April 1st……SNOW!!! I looked out and had such a sense of calm. I saw cleansing and new life!

Easter Morning was the true turning point! It only seemed fitting that Dezi’s body started to come back to life!! During the days leading up to then God kept orchestrating a symphony of people, resources and contacts that only He could direct!(that is its own very complicated post). Travis took the other kids to church. Dezi, Sarena and I watched from home.

That afternoon new equipment arrived with a beautiful family! The kids played, Dezi was prayed over and her new RIFE light was set up! She(we are)is so loved!! This entire TIME we have been surrounded by our family and close friends.

I can not say enough good about Dezirae’s friends! These girls have been here day in & day out. They have spent the night when it was scary to stay the night. They have loved her unconditionally! As I type this, she has 3 friends in bed with her, one holding her hand(it’s 3am)!

Every day since Easter, Dezi has made progress. She has gained strength, talks nonstop and is making plans for her future with confidence! She said “Dying is too easy!” and “Honestly, I’m scared of being healed”. I forever stand in awe of this girl’s grit and wisdom.

This week she told her oncologist “God fixed me” and I believe it!! Her body is very fragile, but her will to share her story to bring GLORY to God is stronger than ever!! We will continue to share her story, praise God for every single victory and strive to live this life He has given us to the fullest.

God is still in the MIRACLE business!!!!
