The first week of August was a whirlwind! Dezirae’s valve removal was cancelled on August 3. Our oldest son had jaw surgery on the 4th. The swelling to his entire face made him look miserable but fortunately he had very little pain.
Thursday morning were Dezirae’s scans. Thursday evening Isaac was discharged from the hospital and Friday morning we left for MN.
We are so blessed to have been able to spend a week in MN(Dezi’s favorite place)! We laughed and cried with old friends, made new friends and did all the stuff that Lake Life entails.
Sunday night we saw the CT results, then Thursday we spoke to the oncologist. I asked Dezirae what and how she would like us to share the results with you all. She said “Tell it like it is” The cancer is quite aggressive and has shown it’s ugliness in both lungs. We are praying for a MIRACLE, have big choices to make and planning to be done.
I go from shattered to calm, then to feeling so inadequate to help our children walk through this……I know God is with us. I know God is Good and He loves Dezirae even more than we do but the pain is so so real. Dezi continues to set such an example by pressing into God. All she has wanted in this journey is for others to draw closer to God!

Tell your daughter she is an inspiration to many! She is making a difference in others lives because of you sharing her story. Prayers continue for Desire and you as her mom and everyone else. I hold onto hope and faith. God deliver and be with all of your family.❤️

Denee, my heart hurts for yours so much…not at all the news I was hoping for you all…I can not with all that I have, even begin to know how you are walking through this other than the strength that comes from only God!! Your testimony in and through this has been inspiring to say the least, God most definitely gave Dezirae the best Momma!!! I will continue to lift your family up in prayer!
