Kids Deserve More

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Only 4 % of government funding goes towards childhood cancer research. Osteosarcoma is still being treated the same way it was 30+ years ago!!

When your child is diagnosed no one talks to you about the family you will gain and the devastating losses that you and your child will experience.

It’s not difficult to have the immediate familial connection with those walking this nightmare.

I used to think grief was just associated with death, it isn’t!!(that’s another post) Nothing in my life prepared me to tell my child that her friend was dying and/or that her friend had died. Not once, not twice, but 8 times in less than 3 years!!

People….. 4% is NOT enough!!!! Our kids deserve more! 7,500 children worldwide will die in September from cancer!
