We have been home a little over 24 hours!

Dezirae has struggled big time emotionally since her surgery. She is mourning the loss of independence. Everything she does takes great effort, causes pain and absolutely exhausts her. Add in the gigantic incision.

Total knee replacements are at a very high risk of blood clots. Dezirae gets two shots a day in her belly of Lovenox(a blood thinner). They burn like wild fire and cause her a great deal on anxiety ;(

It absolutely breaks my heart when she says “I don’t want you to be my nurse, I want you to be my mommy!”

We will resume chemo December 5 th-7th, then have a break until Dec 26th!
