One of the first things the doctor told us when Dezirae was diagnosed was “Stay Positive”!
Today I can not do positive. We have been questioned about our choice of hospitals when it comes to Dezirae’s treatment. Tonight I know with out a doubt that we made the right choice!
We are sitting here exactly 3 months to the day since Dezirae was diagnosed. We should be home, but because of mistakes we are sitting here waiting to have another surgery that shouldn’t be necessary and we are only allowed to list 6 visitors who can come see us…..the wholes time we are here!! WHAT???!!!!!
Yes 6, kids have to be listed, babies have to be listed and once someone is on the list they can’t be removed and another person put on! We need support, Dezirae needs support, but don’t try to come support us because, unless we want to visit in the public lobby or cafeteria, we can’t have visitors!
Then a doctor tried to tell me that the hospital had the same germs we would have at home! Ummmm, NO!!
This whole thing is a HUGE sticky mucky mess! I am not feeling nice. I can’t talk to anyone without crying. I am angry that they can just be normal and I can’t!
Prayer Warriors…..we need you badly tonight! We want God to be glorified through this, but I am so exhausted I can barely even cry out to God! And I can’t understand anything they’re telling me!
One nurse, not ours, tried to help. Our surgeon is pushing for us to be given what we want. They gave us 2 more visitors…..the resident is nice, but has no clue what it’s like to go through this with his child!
Sorry for this ugly post! Dezirae doesn’t want to stay either, but we will put our big kid boots on and deal with it because that’s what we do!
